Replying To wendellgee:  "Hugh Byrne-Jim Byrne-Cian and Cillian Byrne are another three generations who played for Wexford. Hugh played football for Wexford and hurlnig for Kildare (I sat beside him at a Wexford/Kildare U20 match a few years ago) Jim was a dual player, part of the panel in 1996.
Willie Carley-Paul, Shane and PJ and now Darragh are three generations too. Willie was also the Byrne's maternal grandfather.
Tim Flood-Sean Flood and Conall Flood another trio"
Tim and Seán All-Ireland winners too, are they the only father-son combo we have to have done that?

Fathers and sons.... I'm very bored:)

Mick Jacob - Michael & Rory Jacob
John O'Connor - Jack & Rory O'Connor (Did Art ever play for Wexford? Him and Joe would be another combo in that case)
Willie Carley - Shane, PJ, and Paul Carley
Shane Carley - Darragh Carley
MJ Reck - Damien & Shane Reck
Tim Flood - Seán Flood
Seán Flood - Connal Flood
Martin Quigley - Eoin Quigley (Am I correct here?)
Colm Doran - Willie Doran
Tony Doran - Pat Doran (Think Pat played a few league games for us here and there)

I have it in my head that either Pat Nolan of Oylegate or Pat Nolan from GOH (Both GKs) had another son who also hurled in goal for Wexford, could be wrong on that one

Any other obvious names I'm missing?

Replying To ElGranSenor:  "I think Simon Donohoe played football for Wexford at some stage too? Philip Dempsey also

I was at both those 2005 games, don't think we ever really have our footballers enough credit for getting to a National final like that, it's a rare enough occurrence"
Of course! Phillip Dempsey. Just didn't think of him on account of how he's still so new to the hurling squad.

@elgransenor - John Nolan of GOH was our regular goalkeeper for much of the 1980s. I've always believed he was son of the Pat Nolan (GOH) goalkeeper. But I could be wrong...

Replying To Viking66:  "Culture is massively important.

Also Paul and Shane Carley both hurled for Wexford, but at different times. Willie Carley played intercounty football as far as I remember?
John, Bernard and Padraig O'Gorman all played at the same time for the Wexford Footballers back in the 90s. John is in the Football Hall of Fame."
PJ played as well under John meyler.

Replying To Viking66:  "Cork Clare and Limerick aren't all over 6ft. Far from it especially with Limerick and Clare. But what all 3 counties have is 3 or 4 lads who are 6ft 3 to 6ft 6. Thats what we dont have any of. Jacko is our tallest player and hes at the bottom end of that range."
With exception of Cian Lynch and Adam English (both 5'11), the Lim team are all 6ft plus. Peter Casey wanders on and off the team if would like to include him.

John Quigley is Eoin's father

Pat Doran is prob the last Wexford player to score a hat-trick of goals for Wexford Seniors in NHL before Jack Redmond last weekend!
