Great start with 4 pts on the board but tough game away to Down coming up but I fancy on current form we will get something from this game. With home games against Fermanagh and Limerick and Laois away hopefully we can get enough pts on the board before our last game away to Wexford at end of march which will be tough. But things are very positive at the moment so well done to all squad and management.

Any sign of a planning report or fixtures plan yet, or has there been a decision on change of format for championships, or a decision on decoupling at minor??

Am I right in saying any change would have to be voted in RE structure and then that's unlikely to be until 2027 at the earliest if it did happen?

This a fair achievement by TUS , another positive result which can only bode well for the future. Well done to all concerned and best of luck to both teams in the Bosco Cup final tomorrow

Carbury out of Rosemount is building a serious CV for himself. Did great work with the Offaly minors last year Only pity is he's not in with our 20s, especially with all the post-primary success lately.

Best of luck to both Westmeath schools in the Leinster final. Massive achievement to have an all Westmeath final. Hopefully a massive crowd in the park.

On another note, did anyone see the new proposal that county board released today on how the county championships both senior and junior would be structured?

Absolute madness!!! If the clubs let the proposal pass it will be the biggest mistake Westmeath football will ever make!!!!!!!

Actually can't believe it was sent out.

Rumours that the westmeath executive and ccc have decided that u18s in last year of minor are not allowed play adult football again in westmeath. You can now vote, drive get married in westmeath but are not allowed play adult football, but u are allowed play u20s with adults. Its mind boiling really. I heard denis and Buddha explaining playing adult football at 16 years of age and how it helped them develop to the 2004 success. Obviously westmeath are doing it right and other 40 counties are wrong
