45,000 in Thurles for a Munster final is a great atmosphere. I wouldn't mind seeing the Leinster Final being played in Thurles, but that will probably never happen. Better a 35K to 40K crowd in Thurles than in Croke Park."]If we ever get there again there will be more than 40k at it.

I was thinking of some the low attendances in recent years. There was 60k in attendance for the Wexford v Galway Leinster final in 2017, and 51k in 2019 v Kilkenny.

How are we feeling about the League Final?
Cork look like the team to beat. The way they played against Clare and Galway in particular was devastating. They are very intelligent with their play, and move the ball so fast and deliberately. They generally keep three inside forwards and feed them as quick as they can, however the strike runners from midfield can also cause havoc.
I do think however the Liam Cahill and Mikey Bevans will have a plan to try and nullify Cork (while the rest of the Intercounty hurling management teams will be keeping a close eye on this match to see how they get on). I think Tipperary are the most improved team this year and I think this game might be tighter than some will suspect.
Hopefully we see a good game and the ref lets them play it without becoming the centre of attention himself.

Cork are without their ace forward Brian Hayes,but have a readymade replacement in Alan Connolly. Ryan has done a good job in building up a strong squad, with coverage in every position, whilst Tipperary are much improved this year,and have beaten Cork in league. Although it's a league final the focus will be on championship a few weeks away!

I know this isn't to do with the league, but as there's no championship forum yet I might as well post here. Surely this is unprecedented that tickets for the championship went on sale, and less than an hour and a half later, two out of the three Cork matches are completely sold out. With the exception of Waterford in the Páric. Only a few tickets left on the City End Terrace left.
Wonder is it due to the revival in the youth engagement with the sport? Or maybe even the revial of support for the Cork team. Maybe even both. Of course there's two teams with two sets of supporters in each game. But I'd be surpised if Cork were outnumbered in terms of fans in any of the games.
With the small hike in prices I'm sure the GAA is rolling in the money right now. Hopefully they can use this extra income for good and make the game more accesible for all. Televising all the games that they can. Nightmare of GAA Go to be over.

What do these GAA administrators use for brains fixing Offaly and Waterford for Cork. Many Waterford supporters travelled to Belfast to support the team and now no tickets for Sunday. Total disrespect for Offaly supporters who support hurling and football having to travel to the southwest but they also have no access to tickets. Then I realized what it is. Greed. Making sure every last seat is filled in Cork to pay their bill for a stadium that now is the Mecca for other sports and events. Paying for the white elephant that no one ever wanted to go to before it was refurbished.

Pore decision from the GAA fixing the 1B final as part of a double header as based on league attendances, this would have been a sell out regardless. Also nothing wrong with Offaly being asked to play in Cork. It is a massive occasion and I'm sure that's what they would want too. Will stand to them come c'ship.

Cork and Tipp would have filled that stadium on Sunday by themselves, and in fact was a sellout a few hours after tickets went on sale. Waterford and Offaly should have gone ahead at Nowlan Park, but I guess for whatever reason GAA wanted to host both finals together.All championship games involving Cork are sold out…

Pity Offaly/Waterford wasn't in nowlan park,a lot of supporters from both just have no chance of getting a ticket for cork..tipp/cork was always going to get a full house..
Looking forward to both these games..would be great to see Offaly get a senior trophy at the higher level but I don't know if they'll have enough for Waterford,especially when they seem to be getting all the important players back,and will almost be at full strength.
Tipp and cork have impressed and I think both really want to win this final..cork have a knack of opening up defences and getting goals..the midfield battle will be enormous,cork have two fab hurlers here with fitzgibbon getting most of plaudits but o mahony is a fair detail..connors is playing super for tipp and has got great scores..huge test ahead for tipp full back line.hayes a loss for cork but they seem to have ready made replacements now which might have been lacking 2/3years ago..young McCarthy has a huge test ahead against tight and physical corner backs.
I'd fancy cork maybe by 5 points unless a sendng off affects the whole outcome..as a neutral great to be able to sit back and enjoy it.
