You are correct, of course, WanPintWin.

But there's another error: 'easy' is an adjective, whereas the adverb, 'easily' should have been used.
And there's yet another: 'When Mayo done same....' should be 'When Mayo did same....'

I do remember:
Reape hitting Clifford and not being penalised, Aiden O Shea being penalised 3 times in about 5 minutes just after half time and not getting a card (one of which was nasty enough on Jason Foley) and Paul Geaney having to go off after a blow to the head.

Reape got a yellow card for the shoulder on Dave Clifford after Coldrick consulted the linesmen. Seemingly Gucci, Versace and DKNY were referenced in that conversation. Dave had a lovely relaxing lie down for himself trying to influence the colour, then made a Lazarus-like recovery to rejoin the action. Surprised some milking machine ad didn't appear on TG4 for the duration of his recuperation from such a horrendous challenge! Every county are at it to varying levels. Used to be the falling over holding the face so the ref would stop play to kill the opponents momentum. But we shouldn't be surprised.

It's laughable that some Mayo posters are butthurt about some Clifford cuteness after lauding Cillian O'Connor for similar for years. Indeed COC did it to a level probably unseen before or since in the game and it was the main thing that turned him from an average footballer to an effective footballer

As promised, I had a look at the game on the TG4 Player.

It looks like McStay really was talking through his hat.

This is what I noted:
14 th min - McHugh pulls DC's right hand and right shoulder at the same time. No argument, free to Kerry.
18th min - McHugh pulls Clifford's jersey. No argument, free to Kerry.
23rd min - Reape and Clifford clash. Reape gets yellow. Maybe Clifford did make a meal of it.
Between the 36th and 41st minute Aidan O Shea committed 3 personal fouls - no card.
41st min - Aidan penalised for foul on Clifford. Aidan's arm caught Clifford in neck area; refs are strict on 'neck' stuff, rightly or wrongly. I've seen a suggestion that Clifford pulled Aidan down on top of him, but I don't think so.
53rd min - Reape goes off with injured arm sustained in 'shoulder' from Clifford. No question of malice on Clifford's part as acknowledged by hand contact with Reape.
60th min - McHugh fouls Clifford with push in back. McHugh gets yellow for 3rd personal foul. Very slight uncertainty about this but it does look like a push from McHugh.

Summary: Only 3 fouls by McHugh on Clifford, 2 of which were absolutely clear-cut. Maybe, just maybe, you could argue about the last one.

In relation to the suggestion on this forum that Aidan O Shea is not fairly treated, I did not see even a possible example in this game.

The 41st minute free against OSe on Clifford, yes his arm is touching the neck, Clifford is falling and roaring before that. O Se has dived or gone down easy in the past, most notably against Fermanagh to win a penalty. Clifford goes down easy on occasions too.

If the one in the 41st minute is the one I remember, where Clifford throws himself forward and is actually holding O'Shea's arm on his way down, you've given a very favourable description of it. O'Shea reached over his shoulder from behind, he didn't catch him in the neck.
Clifford lunged forward and threw himself on the ground. That one was poor from Coldrick, as he was right on the scene.
I didn't see anything else too bad, but that one stood out to me as a poor call at the time.

Changes nothing. Clifford gets handy frees all year round. You can't just judge on one game alone.

Clearly, there was contact between O Shea's arm and Clifford's neck. That was the foul. What followed is not relevant i.e. whether Clifford pulled Aidan's arm or not.

Anyway, McStay did not even mention O Shea; his gripe was with Clifford/O Shea.

And, by the way, the 'very slight uncertainty' which I attached to McHugh's third foul has been dissipated if it's the picture which Joe Brolly has put up on X.

Summary: McStay could not have been more wrong and God help Mayo if they meet Kerry in the championship.

You must be wearing Green & Gold tinted glasses ..

One example when Clifford grabbed Aidos arm and wrapped it around him and then dived to get the free is well.

Clifford is starting to act like an entitled ass . He's a good player but he needs to grow up because you can be a class player but you can be an immature **** is well.

Clifford was acting like a baby on Sunday should have been a free to meyo for him back chatting so much to the ref or at least a booking and him throwing the ball on pitch like he was throwing his toys out of the pram another example .

We were ***** didn't want to be there not even out of 3rd gear but we move on and I hope Clifford does check himself because he is a great player but getting a bad reputation in other counties other then the chosen so called gods in kerry .
