So it's monaghan again and the 7th ulster opponent in 9 games. We weren't great in the 2nd half against them in ulster but do feel the squad is in a better shape now than it was for that game.

Heard yesterday evening after the match that we be 1:45pm on Sunday so hopefully that comes to be true as the team gets the extra days rest and would expect us to bring a bigger crowd on Sunday also

Donegal/Monaghan is a good draw for both teams I think. Monaghan will be glad to have a familiar opponent in Croke Park instead of Dublin etc, while Donegal will know that if they play to potential they win. Don't think fatigue will play a part from a Donegal perspective as your panel is in as good a shape as it has ever been.
With Dublin/Tyrone and Armagh/Kerry also paired off, it opens up routes to the final too. What a weekend of football in store!

Was I imagining things or was Donegal v Meath called initially before being changed?

There's a lot of speculation about date and times. Obviously both donegal and galway would prefer the extra day.
I know it won't happen but Donegal vs Monaghan could nicely enough in breffni breffni park in the Sunday and only have one match on the Saturday.

No. Donegal were mentioned as they were being ADDED to pot 2 after game 2 was drawn. Then Meath were drawn from Pot 1 as the first team for the 3rd game.

Replying To SouthOfTheGap:  "The Gaa will most likely look at the likely attendances for each game, and make their decision around that. I see the figures like this:

Armagh V Kerry - 45,000
Dublin V Tyrone - 40,000
Donegal V Monaghan - 35,000
Meath V Galway - 30,000

This is why I think one of the Donegal/Monaghan and Meath/Galway will be shifted to the Saturday evening."
I think your attendance figures are a bit overinflated,
- I'd say 30,000 for Donegal v Monaghan at most, probably more like 25,000.
- Same for Armagh v Kerry, Armagh will bring 15-20,000, but Kerry might only bring 5,000 - 10,000.

Jim's snipe at the CCCC paying off?

This is the dream draw for Donegal.

Fixtures details just announced as follows

SATURDAY
4pm: Donegal v Monaghan (GAA+)
6.15pm: Tyrone v Dublin (GAA+)

SUNDAY
1.45pm: Meath v Galway (RTÉ)
4pm: Armagh v Kerry (RTÉ)

Unfortunate to have the 6 day turnaround but hopefully a massive donegal support still travels to croke park and get behind jim and the team

How's it the dream draw? We only could have faced Monaghan or Meath.

But looks like he will have something else to snip about. We are playing Saturday 4 pm. We get 6 days between games. Galway and Dublin 7 days and Kerry 8. We've played the most games out of everyone and we get the shortest turnaround time playing the last game of the weekend last weekend to the first game this coming weekend.

4pm Saturday. Bit of a joke that with only a 6 day turnaround, but I suppose it's to be expected with us.

Our county board need to start stepping up here.

That's twice in a number of weeks we've been shafted.

How does that make any sense when we could've only got Meath or Monaghan in the draw anyway?

It would have made no difference...we were always going to get the short straw

Meath are good. They've beaten opposition of note in this year's championship.

So one wrong means another wrong is done to us as vengeance for having the audacity to question the hierarchy? Burns trying hard to get us knocked out.
