Ratoath as a club have big cocky egoes and they think there a cut above the rest. Someone should tell them that they are only a middle of the road Junior A Club and when this Minor team that they have this year moves on there isn't a lot coming through after that. And there U16 team are going to get some reality check in Division 2 when they play Curraha. 12Royal (Meath) - Posts: 987 - 20/03/2011 19:53:14 892408 Link 0 |
Adam Flanagan from Clonard and Charles Brogan from Carnaross would make a big strong and extremely capable midfield partnership, McGill at full back with Shane Melia and Anto Forde and with players of the calibre of Willie McGrath and Bobby O'Brien up front it could be a good year for Meath minors! alltheway (Meath) - Posts: 3 - 21/03/2011 20:09:57 893375 Link 0 |

Ex Pat... Ratoath will have great success in the future and i predict a senior championship in 5 to 10 years, however your comments re putting big town clubs to shame is a bit off the mark.. Is Ratoath not a big town in all but name, I know it's technically a village but come on a village that can put out 60 teams!!! Fair play for the great club house and work going on but dont try to pretend it's a small little village.. where I'm from the village and most village similar stuggle to get out teams at various under age grades, now thats a village:) Northmeathman (Meath) - Posts: 284 - 22/03/2011 11:44:56 893691 Link 0 |

What's all the worry is about where the minors come from I was looking at them in training a big strong group of players and sure heading for at least a Leinster title this year. scarraboy (Meath) - Posts: 70 - 27/03/2011 13:05:07 896947 Link 0 |
alltheway you are totally right, there is good competition for places in the backs and i think cillian o sullivan from moynalvey is a certain one for the full forward role royals_4_life (Meath) - Posts: 11 - 27/03/2011 17:46:54 897107 Link 0 |
When was there ever a g in Curraha meathforsam11. And I dont think Curraha will regret anything after they play Ratoath. I am not saying we are going to hammer Ratoath but your not going to beat us but your not going to get anything easy in Joe McDermott Park. 12Royal (Meath) - Posts: 987 - 28/03/2011 18:16:41 898011 Link 0 |

Ratoath is hardly a village, according to the last census it has a bigger population than trim, kells, dunboyne or dunshaughlin, all of which are places that are considered towns. CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1677 - 29/03/2011 18:19:12 898784 Link 0 |

Eamonn is the best player in the county by far T.Wallace (Meath) - Posts: 8 - 31/03/2011 19:22:37 900350 Link 0 |
Eamon Wallace taking most of the responsibility on now that Brian McMahon out injured. Unreal burst of speed which any full back line would find difficult to cope with. Question for Ratoath is how many of these crop of players will stick around and progress to senior level over the next few years? Their seniors are in need of some new blood and a few of this current minor team could do a job in a year or two. The physicality could go against a few tho. mongoose (Meath) - Posts: 2 - 02/04/2011 08:15:11 901200 Link 0 |

All this talk about the town teams.. I would love to see a team come up from Div 2 and win out the Div 1 championship, it would stop all this talk about ratoath or navan or any team that think their unbeatable.. Anybody think of a team from Div 2 that would be capable of this? royals_4_life (Meath) - Posts: 11 - 05/04/2011 19:16:55 904463 Link 0 |
