Spot on with the teams there lads. Byrne or Gilsenan is a possible area for debate but first and foremost we need those six backs on the pitch. MarkMyWords (Meath) - Posts: 523 - 17/06/2013 13:03:08 1408722 Link 0 |

I think we should start the same 6 forwards and see how we get on but changes have to be made in defence.were sean curran and young injured on saturday night does anyone know? Both played and did well in the league yet king who was on the bench all league gets in before them!! And lenahan imo has been poor all year bobjaffacake (Meath) - Posts: 1400 - 17/06/2013 13:38:31 1408777 Link 0 |
i dont know what everybody is talking about dropping king he did nothing wrong in wicklow game i thought he had a solid game in fact players who are being left on everyones team menton and keoghan did not play as well as king in wicklow game head4dblackspot (Meath) - Posts: 513 - 17/06/2013 13:46:01 1408785 Link 0 |
Head4dblackspot dont get me wrong im a fan of king im just sayin why wasnt he given more game time in the league.at least carroll and burke were injured all year.but king was fit all year yet never started a game then is picked for first round of the championship. bobjaffacake (Meath) - Posts: 1400 - 17/06/2013 14:03:17 1408818 Link 0 |
Yes. To be fair the game was played around King. He was not at fault. Royalio11 (Meath) - Posts: 802 - 17/06/2013 14:08:02 1408821 Link 0 |

if bray got that goal near the start of the game, he would have probably got another and around 4-5 pts. also, that missed goal chance shattered his confidence, he plays much better in croker having more room to ran at defenders, i would also bring sheridan in and unfortunately drop carroll, id leave king in there, has great experience in hq... loyal82royal (Meath) - Posts: 260 - 17/06/2013 15:48:18 1408959 Link 0 |
Harnan & Kenny to come into the half back line and Joe in at Full Forward. Wallace running at defences with his pace from the half Forward line would rip any team apart. Peadar Byrne, King & Burke the men to miss out. Peadar just doesn't do enough in the game to warrant a start. Wallace & Reilly constantly running at the defence will open up more gaps in the FF line with the Wexford Full Backs having to come out to stop the runs. That will give Bray the Space he needs and open up plenty of Scores for himself & the rest of the FF line chriscart580 (Meath) - Posts: 376 - 17/06/2013 16:07:45 1408975 Link 0 |
Thanks Chris you just backed up my team lineup above. Wallace could be worth a try at wing forward as he can use his pace more. Bray would be more dangerous as a corner forward. Dalton to start if fit, if not Seamus Kenny is a capable deputy and would get the nod ahead of Lenehan and Burke. We learned a lot against Wicklow but these changes will strengthen the team for Wexford. wideasagate (Meath) - Posts: 140 - 17/06/2013 16:36:41 1409021 Link 0 |

Lads if you get to grips with their 2 massive mid fielders, their no 10 ( can't remember his name ) and their whole full foward line of , Banville, Barry and Lyng I will give you a chance. Wexford are a good c/ship team with loads of experience. joej (Louth) - Posts: 1615 - 17/06/2013 17:12:17 1409088 Link 0 |
From looking at the Div 3 league Final, and last Saturday , M Newman looked like an excellent target man , so a full forward position for him might lead to a more balanced full forward line if S Bray went to the corner instead . Stephen still has something to offer but I think placing him in a full forward position is not playing him where he can do as much damage as he is capable off. Newman with his height , speed and accuracy from frees may be just the full forward we have been looking for since BS excelled as our free taker. remember with 4-31 to his credit in the league , it shows that he's no slouch when it comes to scoring , from play or dead ball situations. The only changes would be a straight swap for Kenny and young Harnan in for Burke and Lenehan. I am a big fan of Joe atta (Meath) - Posts: 708 - 17/06/2013 17:38:20 1409133 Link 0 |
Given the choice who would you rather have sitting on the bench, Farrell or Cian Ward anfearbeag (Meath) - Posts: 1134 - 17/06/2013 18:52:48 1409227 Link 0 |

For the last time, CIAN WARD WAS DROPPED FROM THE PANEL about 6 weeks ago, waste of time talking about him. ki ki musampa (Meath) - Posts: 55 - 17/06/2013 19:20:18 1409262 Link 0 |
