Looking at the under 17 squad there seems to be a mixture of a lot of players from different clubs...who will be the stand out ones do people feel?? hoganstandboy19 (Meath) - Posts: 76 - 02/09/2010 12:27:59 763267 Link 0 |

...seems to be very little from North Meath!! Thunderstruck (Meath) - Posts: 473 - 02/09/2010 15:17:51 763507 Link 0 |
Maybe none of the young lads in North Meath were good enough to get on the panel. Or maybe its discrimination. Or their clubs couldn;t be contacted. Or they all really want to play for Cavan or Louth. Or their mammy wouldn't let them go. Or they were out cutting corn or sillage. Or were not being paid enough. Seamus Mattimoe from kells will probably be captain snowchance10 (USA) - Posts: 149 - 04/09/2010 15:38:51 765033 Link 0 |
Some very biased posts it has to be said about people from their own clubs , Tommy Rooney is a hard worker but not a great player god help us if he's the next John McDermott. And Seamus Mattimoe is a very good player but dont think he is captain material. The main players will be the players with experience from last year along with Ciaran Fitzsimons Meath_for_Sam (Meath) - Posts: 11 - 04/09/2010 17:59:50 765117 Link 0 |
should be several o'mahony's lads as on that as the majority of their minor winning team from this year are minor again next year! bigman_1_ (Meath) - Posts: 25 - 04/09/2010 18:09:26 765131 Link 0 |

i can see an all ireland winnin team in next years minors ratoath will dominate squad numbers but also theres a lot of lads from north meath that stand out at that age, farrelly from oldcastle, i think theres 1 or 2 from kells too. 6 or 7 from last years minors are still able to play this year, i dont know any under 16's who will get on nxt yrs minors? they always bring a few lads to get them used to playin at minor level northernaryman (Meath) - Posts: 26 - 11/09/2010 12:33:42 771496 Link 0 |

agree completely with you there that is a serious starting team before anybody else comes into the frame...could be a good year if management chooses the right lads hoganstandboy19 (Meath) - Posts: 76 - 11/09/2010 14:16:49 771578 Link 0 |
