Can I just ask one question relating to an incident against Carlow in Blessington a game that was there for the taking , after five mins a player who was not fit asked the manager to take her off , everyone present could see she was in distress, yet for the next hour he put her in midfield ? . I don't want to seem like I am against the manager but from the sideline and never have managed a team , why would he not have listened to her when any of the subs would have had some impact against a poor Carlow side ...

Eye on the ball, Sorry I was there. That player did not ask to be taken off - she was moved to corner forward, and I am not involved with the team!

Yeh I heard about that incident. The player could hardly catch her breath after being sick all week.. She was listed as playing midfield but they played her in the full forward line. After 10 minutes she actually did ask to be taken off but she was left on

I think a change of management is sorely needed. There was definate favouritism at the start of the year, although in fairness I think that was phased out eventually. A big problem were the mixed messages management were giving to the players. Tactics throughout the year were to work the ball up the field, but when the NFL final came around, the girls were told to go for the long kick in to the forwards, which was a disaster. Also, the team line out and positions were always inconsistant. Mid-fielders getting suddenly moved to full foward out of the blue and whatnot. Also, I think some of the girls were mistreated. There was very little feedback given when a player was taken off or not named in the starting line up they were rarely told why, and as well as Ger Norton being messed around a bit, I heard one of the girls was dropped from the panel after 6 months due to injury. But they didnt tell her they were dropping her, instead they just stopped texting her about training and matches. I've heard a few other stories but none I could be sure are not just rumours. However, things like that are not acceptable, and I think if this was the mens team in question, management like this would not be accepted.

I know who the player in question that was dropped is. She didn't go training for weeks on end and only turned up for matches, it wasn't due to injury! On another note, the league and Leinster championship runnerup medals are being presented this coming Friday in The Arklow Bay Hotel. Who do people think deserves the player of the year?? I think Lorna Fuisciardi, Caoilfhionn Deeney or Emer Miley deserves the award.

I think Emer Miley, Caitriona Byrne or Lorna Fusciardi for Player of the Year.

Oh no doubt Ms Fuscardi will get it. Is she not the Managers favourite ?

Wiseblue - the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results - surely this must now apply to the Management of the County Ladies team? They have had their shot at it, and have not delivered, end of story. Whether or not there are problems in camp, unprofessional behaviour by some or totally off the wall team selections are only by-products of the fact that this group have not reached the heights that their obvious talents deserve. Everyone on this forum knows what has been going on behind the scenes with players and mentors etc, and if you think that this does not affect "team morale" then you are sadly mistaken - I wonder would the same happen in Cork or Dublin - something tells me that the likes of Cork's Walsh, Corkery and O'Flynn, or Dublins Aherne, would not stand for it - and this is the level that we must aim for, or else forget about even trying to win an All Ireland.

You are obviously well informed about the game in Wicklow, so surely you must see the problems as much as anyone?

It's Simple. If people don't like the way County Ladies Football is being run, then get nominated/seconded and elected onto the Committee. If you would like to be part of the Management, then put it in writing to the New Committee in 2010.
As far as Lorna is concerned - she was brilliant this year. Marked an All Star out of it in the League Semi Final.
To the rest of you, there is no need to get personal!

WHOCARES, may I ask which club you are from?

Have you got something against Lorna Fusicardi? She is a very talented footballer, managers favourite?? I dont think so, she worked hard to get her place on the team and she thoroughly deserves it after getting a rough time from management few years previous.

Magpie 11 - My Club is of no concern but if you want to know I am a West Gael. I have no problem with Lorna and I would agree that she is indeed a good player. As for a great player I would disagree. Great players have a dedication and a commitment to the cause. Unfortunately it is well documented that the Eire Og girls have neither of these qualities. Well done to Ms Miley, a great player year in year out

Jeez Whocares you seem to have a pretty big chip on your shoulder over there in West Wicklow! Seems to me like you should spend a little less time making catty remarks on here and a bit more time getting yourself in shape for next season- then you might pick up a few awards of your own!
