Mayo SFC semi-final details released

The dates and venues for the Mayo SFC semi-finals have been announced.

Charlestown hosts the first semi-final between local rivals Castlebar Mitchels and Breaffy on Saturday, October 3 at 4pm. That will be followed by the meeting of Garrymore and Belmullet on Sunday, October 4 at 1pm in Ballina.

In last weekend’s quarter-finals, Castlebar Mitchels accounted for Aghamore by 0-19 to 1-10, Garrymore recorded a surprise 0-14 to 0-12 victory over Kobe McDonald’s Crossmolina, Breaffy were 2-18 to 0-18 winners over Westport, while 0-8 from Ryan O’Donoghue and 2-1 from Fionn O’Donoghue inspired Belmullet to a 5-13 to 0-20 victory over Claremorris.

The SFC relegation final between Ballaghaderreen and Ballina Stephenites takes place in Ballyhaunis this Sunday, September 27 at 12 noon.

In the first of the IFC semi-finals, Moy Davitt Davitts and Ballinrobe lock horns at Garrymore on Saturday, October 3 at 7.30pm. The other semi-final between Davitts and the winners of the outstanding quarter-final between Kiltane or Islandeady will be played on Sunday, October 4 at a time and venue to be confirmed.
