Waterford county grounds to be renamed 'Azzuri Walsh Park'

Waterford GAA has announced that it will be changing the name of its stadium to ‘Azzurri Walsh Park’.

It comes as a part of a multi-year partnership with sportswear manufacturer Azzurri Sport, with the deal with the local company having been approved by the Waterford County board.

Last night (Wednesday) saw Waterford GAA release a statement confirming the new naming rights deal for the iconic stadium located in the heart of Waterford City which has staged countless unforgettable days for the Deise County.

County board chairman Neil Moore commented:  "We are delighted to welcome Azzurri Sport as the new naming sponsor of Walsh Park. This partnership goes far beyond naming rights it represents shared values of community, identity, and ambition. The support of Azzurri Sport will make a real difference to the future of our players, our facilities, and our games at every level in Waterford."

Director, Jack Molloy of Azzurri Sport, added: "As a proud Waterford company, we are honoured to be associated with Walsh Park, a venue that means so much to the people of this city and county. Our partnership with Waterford GAA reflects our commitment to supporting local communities and to promoting Gaelic games. We look forward to working together to ensure Azzurri Walsh Park continues to be a place of pride, passion, and great sporting moments."
