Louth goalkeeper James Califf has brought the curtain down on his 14-year inter-county career.

New manager Ger Brennan has confirmed to RTÉ that the Dreadnots clubman won't be returning in 2024. The 33-year-old made 62 appearances, being first-choice for most of Mickey Harte's three-year tenure after making the switch from an outfield position. He was also part of the Wee County's minor management team last year.

Louth defeated Westmeath 2-12 to 0-12 in Kinnegad on Saturday to set up an O'Byrne Shield final meeting with Wicklow in Blessington this Thursday evening.
