Tipperary hurling coach Tommy Dunne could be banned for the rest of the season after being sent off in Sunday’s Munster SHC defeat to Waterford.
Dunne was red-carded by referee Johnny Murphy at the start of the second-half at Walsh Park after getting into a heated discussion with the Limerick official.
RTE Sport now reports this morning (Thursday) that it understands Dunne is facing a proposed three-month suspension after his sending off in the provincial opener at the weekend.
It would mean that barring a successful appeal, the 2001 All-Ireland winning captain would only be available on the sideline for the All-Ireland SHC final on July 17 if Tipp were to get that far.
