This past weekend saw the long-awaited return of football to our screens as GAA fans were treated to a weekend of bumper league action.
Brian, Noel & John McGrath all starting for Tipp today. I’ve no doubt Mary had the best porridge and the freshest eggs ready for them all this morning!!!! A great achievement and a very proud day for them all in @Loughmore_Gaa. 👍🏻🇺🇦. First 3 brothers since the Bonnars I would say

Was that David Clifford or Lionel Messi? 🤣

The only thing worse than being chosen as DUP leader is being chosen to mark David Clifford... https://t.co/Fh0PaxVRVk

Just finished interviewing Michael Murphy, a young Tyrone supporter nervously waiting, approached him.
— Thomas Niblock (@thomasniblock) May 15, 2021
“Could I have your gloves”
MM “of course you can” chatted to him and the young cub, covered in Tyrone gear- was beaming. Class man, class footballer. Lovely moment
I stand to be corrected but Croke Park Referee's Committee came out and said that the advantage was to give the free I like many others strongly disagree so its not our Referee's at fault at present #GAA

Clare back on the field, Wexford still in the dressing room getting the last of the tea and Tayto. Sun is out in Ennis, breeze upgraded to a gentle zephyr.

The great Hammy Dawson here in Salthill to cheer the Limerick panel off the bus ahead of Allianz Hurling League tie.

Our Man of the Match - with 10 points, on his debut - Paul Donaghy 🔥pic.twitter.com/ZPGzfuOwDR

Wonder what Paul Donaghy did to piss Mickey Harte off 😁

Let’s hope the @OfficialCamogie see sense and do the right thing and what was promised. https://t.co/lTBXUGoMCI

Best wishes to James Loughrey @Lockaldhino on his retirement from Inter-County football. James has made an immense contribution to the Cork football team and we wish him and his family all the best for the future. pic.twitter.com/DA82hUQ8kD

Water breaks. The most unnecessary stoppage in GAA. Get rid of them now. Watching the groups I see team talks and hardly anyone taking water. Ruins game and this one is bad enough #gaa

TweetBest wishes to Sligo’s Neil Ewing in his retirement from inter county football.
— GPA (@gaelicplayers) May 12, 2021
Neil made his debut in 2008, soldiering for 13 seasons with the Yeats men, and also captaining his county in 2017.https://t.co/l886xBoxG8 pic.twitter.com/YQxHCm2Wxz
