A native of Gillardstown, Castlepollard, Fr Sean's death took place on September 3 at the St. Patrick's Missionary Society Headquarters in Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow. Despite being based in Africa, first in Nigeria and then Kenya for many years, he never lost touch with Ireland and always made sure to see his beloved Lough Lene Gaels in action when he returned home.
