Bunbrosna mourned the passing of its honorary club president Sean Molloy in late January. To say that Sean was a colossus of the club would be an understatement given the huge contribution he made over many years. He was an ever-present at games involving Bun. Indeed, legend has it that on his way home from a stay in hospital following major surgery, he made a detour to watch the team play. That's how much he loved the blue and white.
Right up to the end of the 2015 season, Sean would regularly call down to see how training was going and the team progressing. He was a useful footballer in his day and was a member of the Multyfarnham junior championship winning team of 1956.
His four sons John, Brian, Kevin and Frank all played for Bun and there was no prouder man than Sean when Frank captained Bun to their first adult title in 30 years - a junior championship - in 2001. The respect and esteem in which he was held was reflected in the large number of players and former players who formed a guard of honour in Multy as Sean's funeral made its way through the village.
