On Wednesday, June 28th, 2017, word began to spread of the death of Bunbrosna GAA Honorary President Leo O'Neill. From Ballyvade, Bunbrosna, Mullingar, Leo served the club with distinction throughout his life. A true and loyal Bunbrosna man, he worked hard to promote the club in its early years. Leo held many different roles in the club and brought a great sense of integrity and dedication to each job he took on. Such was the esteem in which Leo was held in the club, that he was unanimously elected Honorary President in 2000 - a position that he held until his death. As a mark of respect and gratitude, Bunbrosna GAA provided a Guard of Honour to escort his cortege to the gates of St Patricks Church, Leney and stood in silence as Leo's coffin was carried to the church.
