Former Bunbrosna manager John Smith, Rhenenny, Edgeworthstown, County Longford, passed away on Monday, May 22nd, 2017. During his first term in charge of the club, which lasted for five seasons, he led Bunbrosna to the 2006 Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship as well as promotion in the league. He returned for another stint at the helm in 2011. The Longford man's unique style of management commanded the respect of his players and he was very popular with all those who knew him, in Bunbrosna and beyond.
