Pearse Stadium will host the Galway SHC final for the second year in succession on Sunday week, November 1 at 3pm.

Kenny Park in Athenry is considered by many to be the spiritual home of Galway hurling and staged the Tom Callanan Cup decider two years ago, but this year’s showpiece game between Tommy Larkins and Loughrea will take place once again in Salthill, with TG4 providing live TV coverage.

Tommy Larkins are preparing for their first SHC final in 55 years after defeating Clarinbridge 2-26 to 1-27 after extra-time last Saturday, while Loughrea finished with a flourish to overcome Craughwell 0-20 to 0-15 in the second semi-final on Sunday, keeping their three-in-a-row ambitions alive in the process.

The SHC final will be preceded by the ‘Premier’ JHC final between Abbeyknockmoy and Sylane at 1pm. Meanwhile, Mullagh and Kilconieron will face off in the IHC final at Kenny Park on Saturday week, October 31 at 3.30pm, with the JHC ‘D’ decider between Loughrea and Kiltormer acting as a curtain-raiser at 1.30pm.
