Clare's Ailish Considine has made history as the first Irish player to win the AFL Women’s Premiership twice.
The Kilmihill native helped Adelaide Crows to a 29-16 Grand Final victory over Melbourne Demons in front of an attendance of 16,712 at the Adelaide Oval yesterday.
Banner County dual-star Considine, who joined the Crows in 2018, entered the record books a year later when she claimed her maiden Premiership medal.
Dublin All-Ireland winner Sinead Goldrick was outstanding for the Demons who came up short to last year's runners-up.
Considine's achievements rounds off a memorable week for ladies gaelic footballers in the AFL Women’s Premiership after Orla O'Dwyer of Tipperary became the first Irish woman to make an All-Australian team.
