Kieran Kilkenny has been appointed as the new Sligo ladies football manager.

The Leitrim native takes over from Cormac Reape, who stepped down from the role in early August. Kilkenny was part of the management team that led the Sligo minors to an All-Ireland ‘B’ Championship success this year and is also currently the manager of St Nathy’s who are chasing a seven in-a-row of county senior titles.

"It is a tremendous honour to be appointed Senior Manager of Sligo LGFA,” he said.

“The opportunity to work with such talented players at both club and county levels is something I am incredibly passionate about. My experience with the Sligo minors and St Nathy’s has been rewarding, and I look forward to building on that success as we aim to compete at the highest level."
