McKenna Cup fixture details confirmed

Following on from Wednesday night’s 2024 Dr McKenna Cup draw, Ulster GAA has announced the times, dates and venues for the group matches.

Mickey Harte’s first game in charge of Derry will be against Cavan in Kingspan Breffni on Wednesday, January 3 before the back-to-back Ulster champions take on Down in Owenbeg on Saturday, January 6.

Jim McGuinness’ second spell as Donegal manager begins with a home game against Armagh, while Monaghan host Antrim in Castleblayney. Tyrone open their campaign against Donegal in Omagh on Sunday, January 7.

Tyrone, Armagh and Donegal are in Section A, while holders Derry are in Section B along with Cavan and Down. Section C consists of Monaghan, Fermanagh and Antrim.

The first round is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3, with the second round taking place on Sunday, January 7 and the final round of group matches on Wednesday, January 10. The semi-finals are fixed for the weekend of January 13/14 and the final is set to be played on January 20.
