Aussie Rules recruit Cian McBride played his first Gaelic football match in over a year when he lined out for St Ultan's in the Meath JFC on Saturday evening.

The former Meath minor and U20 star, who signed for the Essedon Bombers in late 2019, is currently home on holidays and was granted permission to play - after completing his quarantine period - for the Bohermeen side in their 4-15 to 1-9 victory over Moynalty. Former Dundalk FC 'keeper Gary Rogers also made an appearance for the Ultan's.

McBride caught some great ball and was central to the St Ultan's victory.
