It has been a tough few weeks for Limerick football manager Billy Lee whose beloved mother and GAA stalwart Mary passed away on June 6 last.
His team also shipped a heavy Munster SFC semi-final defeat to Cork, but produced a much-improved performance in losing to Westmeath by six points in Mullingar last evening. Following the game, the Limerick management and players presented him with this framed signed jersey, which Billy described as an "unbelievable gesture".
The Newcastle West man tweeted: "Mam would have been so grateful and proud, emotions prevented me from telling the lads my true feelings."
