Kieran Donaghy's Kerry GAA days may be behind him, but he's still producing the goods on the basketball court.
Last night, Donaghy lived up to his nickname 'Star' with a brilliant display for Garvey's Tralee Warriors in their heart-stopping overtime win over UCD Marian, which leaves them on the cusp of becoming Men's Super League champions for the first time.
Reigning champions UCD Marian led by 74-64 with time running out, but with Donaghy to the fore, the Warriors fought back to tie the game at 80-apiece and send it to overtime.
They eventually prevailed 89-84 and will be crowned champions if they can repeat last night's dramatic victory over UCD Marian when they teams meet again in Tralee at 5 o'clock this evening.
