Wexford GAA has announced the appointment of Conor Day as its new Operations Manager.
The St Fintan's clubman succeeds Gavin O'Donovan, who stepped down at the end of January. Day has a background in project management and also has GAA administrative experience at home and with Gloucestershire GAA.
In a bulletin released after Tuesday night's county board meeting, Wexford GAA said: “Cathaoirleach Micheál Martin informed the meeting that the recruitment process for the vacant position of Operations Manager has concluded. The interview panel recommended the appointment of Conor Day, who has accepted the position and who is due to take up the role on April 22nd next.
"Conor, from the St. Fintan’s club, has significant experience in project management as well as GAA administrative experience in Ireland and with Gloucestershire GAA."
