A cracking Munster senior hurling championship tie was settled with this superb winner from Clare’s Diarmuid Ryan in the fourth minute of injury-time.
It saw the Banner men finish 2-22 to 3-18 victors in Ennis, where Patrick Horgan’s goal had brought the sides all square on 65 minutes after Tony Kelly had netted twice to seemingly leave the hosts with one foot in the Munster final.
Kelly’s penalty two minutes into the second-half had Brian Lohan’s men up by eight but the Leesiders rallied back, getting level through Horgan’s goal before he squared this again in injury-time.
