Roscommon goalkeeper Helena Cummins described the “great excitement” around the county ahead of tomorrow’s All-Ireland ladies intermediate football championship final against Fermanagh (1.45pm).

The Rossies head for Croke Park after seeing their U16s already capture an All-Ireland title this year, while the county minors were narrowly beaten in the 'A’ final.

Speaking to RTE Sport ahead of the intermediate decider this weekend, Cummins says there is no doubt that the talent is there within the county for more success.

"It's not too often you'll see three teams in All-Ireland finals within the one county," she stated.

"The U16s went out and won it and gave a great performance, and the minors were unlucky as well against a strong Cork team.

"It just goes to show the talent that is coming through and with ourselves out on Sunday, there is great excitement and everyone is looking forward to it.

"The talent is there and we've a lot of girls coming through. If we go out and win on Sunday, then it's the likes of those girls that you're going to need to drive things on.

"It's all about setting the foundation and leaving Roscommon ladies football in a good place for the next generation."
