A typically gracious Jimmy Barry Murphy had no gripe with the match officials after St Finbarr's lost the Munster club SFC final to a contentious free in the dying seconds.
With the Cork champions leading by a point in injury-time, referee Chris Maguire brought the ball forward 50 metres after Dylan Quinn was penalised for not handing it back, and Conor Geaney duly converted a two-point free to give Dingle an historic victory.
"That's the way it goes. Big games are decided on crucial decisions at important times," the legendary Cork dual star and St Finbarr's selector told Off The Ball.
"Today is Dingle's day. They found a way back into the game when we looked to be in control. We didn't manage the game well as we could have. That's the time to turn the screw and we didn't do it today.
"It's such a cruel way to lose it in the end. But I'm not going to complain about referee's decisions, some days they go with you and some days they don't.
"Dingle hung in there, got their chance in the end and took it."
