Danny McCartan and Fola Ayorinde hit a goal each as holders St Loman's secured their place in the Westmeath SFC semi-finals for the 13th successive season with a commanding 2-12 to 0-8 victory over Coralstown-Kinnegad at TEG Cusack Park yesterday.

The sides were level at the break on 0-7 apiece but the Blues produced a dominant second-half performance to brush aside Coralstown-Kinnegad, who still advance along with Caulry to the quarter-finals. A 1-14 each draw against Mullingar Shamrocks was enough to see Shane Curran's Caulry qualify for the knockout stages.

Already assured of a semi-final spot, The Downs remain the only team with a 100% record in the Flanagan Cup as they beat Garrycastle 1-12 to 1-9 to continue their winning run. A fourth loss on the bounce means Garrycastle are now out the race, while Mullingar Shamrocks drop to Section B for 2023.

Killucan will face neighbours Coralstown-Kinnegad in the last-eight after coming from behind to get the better of Tyrrellspass by 1-7 to 0-8. Despite the result, Tyrrellspass are also through to the quarter-finals and can look forward to a meeting with Caulry.

Also in Section B, Moate All-Whites defeated Tang 1-15 to 0-17 and Athlone overcame relegated Rosemount by 2-14 to 1-12.
