Meath ladies manager Eamonn Murray is confident that they can retain the Brendan Martin Cup this Sunday if they can keep the goals out against Kerry at Croke Park.

The Kingdom have been goal merchants in this year’s championship and it’s helped usher them into their first All-Ireland senior championship final in a decade.

Meath, meanwhile, are out to retain the title that they secured for the first time last year and Murray says it could be a cracking decider at headquarters this weekend.

"Kerry have scored 13 goals in their last four games. That's a big thing, if we stop the goals we'll win the game. It's that simple. It could be an outstanding game of football, with one attack-minded team and the other a bit more defensive," he told RTE Sport.

"It could be a shootout between Emma Duggan and Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh."

He added: "We'll do what we can to win. We'll give it 100%, if that's not enough then so be it."
