Liam Cahill has stressed that Noel McGrath will be left to decide on his Tipperary future.
The Loughmore-Castleiney clubman has won four All-Ireland SHC medals in a glittering career with Tipp going back to 2010, but may decide to bow out after last Sunday's heavy defeat to Limerick officially ended the Premier County's Liam MacCarthy Cup defence.
“Noel’s record speaks for itself,” Cahill told reporters at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
“Noel will be given the opportunity, like he has every year during my term, to make up his own mind, because that’s how good a player he is.”
The Tipp manager added: “He’s the one player in Tipperary who is very self-aware of what needs to happen. I’m sure he’ll have a good reflection over the next few weeks and months to see whether he wants to go again.”
