Dublin and Galway are set for a Walsh Cup final date next weekend after coming through their respective semi-finals in the Leinster pre-season competition this afternoon.

Dublin recorded a 3-24 to 2-14 win against Westmeath at Parnell Park, where Cian O’Sullivan, Conor Donohoe and Davy Keogh fired in the goals for the capital men.

Galway were 2-22 to 0-16 winners over Offaly in their semi-final at Duggan Park, Ballinasloe.

After having led by 0-13 to 0-8 at the halfway stage, the Tribesmen pulled clear in the second-half with the help of goals from Aaron Niland and Tom Monaghan to book their place in the decider.

In the Walsh Cup Shield, Kilkenny registered a 2-17 to 0-10 win over Laois in Rathdowney, where the goals were scored by Gearoid Dunne and Liam Moore, to set-up a final date against Kildare next Sunday.

Liam O’Reilly’s point in the fourth minute of injury-time proved the difference for the Lilywhites as they edged Antrim by 0-17 to 2-10 in Hawkfield.

Elsewhere, Tipperary emerged victorious from their Munster Hurling League third round clash against Kerry in Tralee where it finished 1-16 to 1-7, with Oisin O'Donoghue netting midway through the second-half for the All-Ireland champions.
