Croke Park will host Leinster’s Champions Cup semi-final should the Irish side progress past La Rochelle tomorrow (Saturday) evening.
It has been 15 years since GAA headquarters staged a club rugby match, with 2009’s Heineken Cup semi-final between Leinster and Munster marking a then world record attendance for a club match.
Yesterday (Thursday) saw the ECPR confirming a possible return for Leinster to the iconic Dublin venue as it released its list of potential venues for the last four.
With the Aviva Stadium out of commission as a result of preparations for the Europa League final, Croker will come into play should Leinster defeat La Rochelle and earn a home tie against either Northampton Saints or the Bulls.
