Aaron Kernan has brought the curtain down on his glittering club career with Crossmaglen Rangers.
The 39-year-old announced his retirement from the game following Cross’ Ulster Club SFC quarter-final defeat to Trillick last Saturday night. The classy wing back bows out with a remarkable 18 Armagh SFC medals – one shy of Paul Hearty’s record – to his name as well as three All-Ireland club medals won in 2007, 2011 and 2012
Part of a famous GAA family, Kernan also won four Ulster SFC medals with Armagh before retiring from the inter-county scene in 2014. He was also named Young Footballer of the Year in 2005.
