Two-time All-Ireland winner Peter Canavan has named his ‘Team of the Year’ following the conclusion of the 2022 inter-county football season.

All in all, five counties are represented on the Tyrone great’s 15 with Galway ace David Comer and Derry’s Conor Glass, and Chrissy McKaigue the most notable absentees.

Writing for Sky Sports GAA, Canavan confirmed these as “the standout 15 from a brilliant championship season”:
