Thousands of Limerick supporters are expected to descend on Pery Square this evening to welcome home the 2026 All-Ireland hurling champions.

The event is being hosted by Limerick GAA and Limerick City and County Council and offers supporters of all ages the opportunity to celebrate another historic achievement for Limerick hurling. MC’d by Limerick’s own Catriona Tierney, the homecoming will see entertainment provided by DJ Mark McCabe, singer Gearoid McCarthy, and special guests.

Limerick’s All-Ireland minor hurling champions will also be feted on the evening.

Mayor of Limerick, John Moran said: “What this group of players, management and backroom team has achieved is truly remarkable. Once again, they have demonstrated extraordinary commitment, resilience and belief on the biggest stage in the game and the people of Limerick could not be prouder. With minor success also this year, the future is looking very bright for Limerick hurling.

“Now it is time for us to come together and give our champions the welcome they deserve. I encourage supporters to join us in Pery Square as we celebrate another unforgettable chapter in Limerick sporting history and welcome the Liam MacCarthy Cup back home to Limerick.”
