Carlow are on the lookout for a new senior hurling manager following Tom Mullally’s decision to step down after five years in charge.
Mullally steered the Barrowsiders to Joe McDonagh Cup glory in 2023 when they defeated Offaly at Croke Park to promote themselves to the Leinster SHC.
He also led the team to promotion to Division 1B of the Allianz League the following year and this past season would see Carlow retaining their league status.
Currently manager of Naas senior hurlers, Mullally is now preparing the Kildare champions for their upcoming Leinster semi-final against Wexford champions St Martin's, having previously guided the club to Leinster and All-Ireland intermediate titles in 2021/22.
A statement from Carlow county board on Friday read: “Carlow GAA would like to thank Tom for his thoroughly professional approach and his role in our hurling development over the past five years.
"We wish Tom every health and happiness for the future.
"Carlow GAA will now move swiftly to appoint a new Senior Hurling Manager for 2026.”
