Glen have moved quickly to fill their senior football manager vacancy by appointing Finnian Moriarty to the role.
The former Armagh defender takes over from Rory Kavanagh, who stepped after just one season in charge earlier this month. Moriarty himself only stepped down as manager of Down side Carryduff a fortnight ago. The Wolfe Tone clubman won an All-Ireland U21FC medal in 2004 before going on to enjoy a decade-long senior career with the Orchard County.
Donegal 2012 All-Ireland SFC winner Kavanagh parted way with the Watty Grahams after they were knocked out of the Derry SFC at the semi-final stage by O’Donovan Rossa, Magherafelt. He succeeded Malachy O'Rourke as manager of the 2024 All-Ireland club champions after O'Rourke left to take the Tyrone reins.
