The ‘full house’ signs will be erected outside Croke Park for Sunday’s eagerly-awaited All-Ireland SHC semi-final between Limerick and Cork.

All stand tickets were sold by Wednesday, while the remaining Hill 16 and Nally Terrace tickets are also expected to be snapped up as the 82,300-capacity Croke Park heads for its first sellout of the year. There is huge interest in the clash, which is a repeat of May’s epic Munster SHC round-robin encounter which Cork won 3-28 to 3-26 to stay in the championship. Limerick are bidding for an historic five-in-a-row, while a resurgence in support for the Rebels is set to yield a €6 million for the GAA coffers.

The other semi-final on Saturday between Kilkenny and Clare is expected to draw an attendance of about 40,000.
