Derek Lyng has been reappointed Kilkenny senior hurling manager.

Lyng was appointed on a three-year term after succeeding the long-serving Brian Cody in August of last year, and has been given the green light to remain at the helm after leading the Cats to this year's All-Ireland SHC final against Limerick.

Kilkenny GAA said: “At this evening’s County Board Meeting in UPMC Nowlan Park, Derek Lyng was ratified as Kilkenny Manager for the 2024 season. Peter Barry, Michael Rice, Conor Phelan and Peter O’Donovan continue as selectors.

“Kilkenny GAA wishes Derek and his team the very best for the season ahead!”
