Naomh Conaill and Gweedore will square off in the fourth round of the Donegal senior football championship next weekend in a repeat of the Tir Chonaill County’s final three years ago.
It took two replays to eventually crown the Glenties club as champions in 2019, dethroning their opponents of the title before going on to reach the Ulster club SFC final where they lost out narrowly to Kilcoo.
The two sides clash this Sunday on Naomh Conaill’s home turf at Davy Brennan Memorial Park (3pm), with the hosts currently sitting on five points and Gweedore on six after three rounds.
Interestingly, there are five teams without a point in the SFC table – Milford, Ardara, Glenfin, Bundoran and St Naul’s – that have all been kept apart in the fourth-round draw, meaning there is a possibility that one team could retain their senior status without gaining a point.
Donegal SFC Round 4 draw:
Sean MacCumhaill’s v St Eunan’s
Bundoran v Kilcar
St Naul’s v St Michael’s
Milford v Aodh Ruadh
Ardara v Glenswilly
Glenfin v Four Masters
Naomh Conaill v Gaoth Dobhair
Cloughaneely v Killybegs
