Meath legend Graham Geraghty has been presented with replacement Leinster medals after his original ones were stolen during a break-in at his home three years ago.

A number of the 1999 All-Ireland winning captain’s medals were later found in a bag on a footpath in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, but his Leinster honours (three senior, two U21 and one minor) were never recovered.

However, at the Meath GAA Golf Classic at Headfort Golf Club in Kells on Friday, Geraghty was given the replacements - donated by Club na Mí - in a surprise presentation made by members of the county board.
