Former All-Ireland club champions St Vincent’s suffered relegation from Dublin’s senior 1 football championship last night.
Whitehall Colmcille earned a 1-12 to 0-13 victory over the north Dublin outfit which secured their senior 1 status while Vins were demoted.
Champions in the capital 29 times, St Vincent’s last title success came in 2017 and they are now set to join St Oliver Plunkett’s-Eoghan Ruadh in next year's senior 2 football championship as a result.
Clontarf’s 2-24 to 2-12 victory in Garristown also sent Plunkett’s down in emphatic fashion last night.
Elsewhere in the Dublin SFC this weekend, St Judes play Thomas Davis while holders Ballymun Kickham’s face Lucan Sarsfields in the competition’s quarter-finals today (Saturday) while tomorrow sees Ballyboden St Enda’s up against Castleknock and Kilmacud Crokes play Na Fianna.
