
Gaelic Games commentator, journalist and author, Brian Carthy reflects on the 2025 Football and Hurling Championships in his comprehensive book, which contains the results of every single game in both senior codes.
Brian also provides brief reports on the All-Ireland Football and Hurling Finals and includes the lineups and clubs from the four finalists of Kerry, Donegal, Tipperary and Cork.
Kerry overcame Donegal in the football showpiece while Tipperary were crowned hurling champions for the 29th time with an impressive win over Cork.
Brian Carthy worked exclusively for RTÉ Radio Sport as Gaelic Games Correspondent & Commentator for over 30 years. He commentated on Football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football and also presented and produced 'The Championship' programme on RTÉ Radio One. His voice was synomymous with the coverage of Gaelic Games on RTÉ Radio through commentary, reports and breaking news in his role as Correspondent.
In recognition of his contribution as a Gaelic Games broadcaster, Brian Carthy was honoured with a 'Hall of Fame, McNamee Award' from the GAA and a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from the Gaelic Writers Association.
A native of Ballymore, a townland at the footbhills of Sliabh Bán near Strokestown in County Roscommon, Brian has written some 30 books, including the best-selling 'Football Captains, The All-Ireland Winners'.
