David Clifford was back to his brilliant best for Fossa at the weekend.
After misfiring for Kerry against Armagh in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final and for Fossa in their county IFC first round defeat to Beaufort, Clifford scored 1-9 as his club got back on track with a 1-18 to 0-16 Round 2 victory over Castleisland Desmonds.
The former Footballer of the Year hit 1-5 from play for last year's IFC runners-up who led by 1-8 to 0-7 at the interval after Clifford netted in injury-time.
Missed goal chances by David and Paudie Clifford allowed Desmonds to stay in the game before the former finally settled it with two late points.
