The GAA community in Offaly has rallied around the country's largest yogurt manufacturer after its factory was destroyed by fire in Killeigh yesterday.

The blaze broke out just after 11am and caused all 50 staff at Glenisk to be evacuated immediately. Some members of staff required medical treatment for smoke inhalation, but thankfully no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Owned by the Cleary family, Glenisk has been a great supporter of the GAA for many years and is currently the main sponsor of local club, Clodiagh Gaels. The family-business also sponsored jerseys for the Offaly U14 camogie development squad.

"Our thoughts are with our club sponsor Glenisk and the Cleary family this evening following a fire at their premises this afternoon. Glenisk have been terrific sponsors to local clubs in the area throughout the years," Clodiagh Gaels GAA said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Offaly Camogie said: "Our thoughts are with everyone at Glenisk after today's heartbreaking events."
