Yes they won the finals at the start of this calendar year but that is technically last season as I said. The current Ulster club season started last weekend and all the big dogs enter this weekend. Looking forward to it

Replying To Monaghanmad123:  "I believe that was a mix up in reporting. It is Dermot McArdle who has joined Mc Conville in Wicklow. Malone just taking on a player/manager role with the faughs for now"
Good appointment. Should get them to at least a quarter final

Replying To Deadballmerchant:  "any word on the manager merry-go-round yet? any new managers appointed or anyone gone yet?"
Inniskeen obviously.
Castleblayney.
Saw Currin are advertising so their management is gone.
That's all I'm aware of....

Real championship starts tomorrow for Scotstown. Went through the motions last few weeks in Monaghan but hopefully got a good body of training done recently.

Will likely be the end of the road for them.

Had been impressed with them against Ballybay but they looked very poor yesterday all be it against a strong team. They'll be happy to be back up senior but will know that consistency is a must to stay up.

First competitive game of the year for Scotstown, 312 days into the year.
Have a hunch that Magherafelt will have the legs on them.

Scotstown experience got them over the line in ET. They will learn an awful lot from today
Rory seemed very lucky to stay on the field with the knee to the chest. His class on the next kickout and then when they were under pressure in last play of ET is why they are in the next round

Experience you cant buy it. Beggan on that kickout showed all his years of composure and class so badly missed v louth in croke park last year. Kieran Hughes was immense in a difficult game v a very decent Magherafelt side. Finally good to see big Mcphilips back.

Scotstown team in some serious shape. A much younger more athletic (looking anyway) maghaerafelt really struggled physically in extra time. Subs used added great value aswell.

Debate still goes on who is better Gary Mohan or K Hughes. 2 similar players. Beggan wintering we'll almost cost Scotstown. Needs to get down to training next week
