Hearing everything is running full steam ahead with your senior footballers for 2027. I think after this year Jim and team will come in under the radar, and that's how he will want it. ahsure. (Galway) - Posts: 1807 - 04/10/2026 11:16:16 2696088 Link 0 |

TG4 needs to invest in better cameras. Embarrassing stuff. eddieSize5Balls (Donegal) - Posts: 477 - 04/10/2026 17:45:38 2696129 Link 3 |

Hard luck Glenswilly, nearly had it. Amazing to see the impact of actually kicking the ball into Murphy. All incisive accurate passes too, on a rotten day might I add. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1746 - 04/10/2026 18:36:16 2696133 Link 0 |

Another amazing comeback by Naomh Conail, you have to admire the balls of this team, they just don't know how to give up. In the last 3 weeks they have lost one off there best forwards in mcgettigan, our midfielder that was playing well in k Gallagher, no ethan odonnel this year who is a fantastic footballer and they still grind it out and reach the final. What an amazing bunch of footballers no matter what happens in the final. The keeper (Donegal) - Posts: 747 - 04/10/2026 19:30:54 2696141 Link 0 |

The best team in the county over the last 10-15 years. They don't give up!

Yes fair play to Glenties some serious outfit. Glenswilly will be thinking of some decision making on the ball in the final 10 minutes. Two great games over the weekend. Gweedore will be thinking how they gave Eunans a 1-9 head start. Met a Gweedore man at half time for tea and he was telling me that amount of lads they don't have is a football team in itself. Credit to them as well , still competing. Glenties for the win Whyme923 (Donegal) - Posts: 154 - 04/10/2026 20:06:48 2696145 Link 0 |

Murphy still the best forward on the county.

This week's scores: (if you called a draw in Glen v NC, I gave 3 points. I also awarded points for calling NC the winner etc) Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 10490 - 05/10/2026 09:28:20 2696197 Link 0 |

Looking back at the NC/Glenswilly game on TG4, McGettigans goal chance was difficult to call. The lack of line marking in the goal mouth has to be questioned in our main county grounds on Semi Final weekend. Similar out the field, very poor line marking Samforthehills26 (Donegal) - Posts: 25 - 05/10/2026 09:36:10 2696200 Link 0 |

They always find a way. Bad news about young McGettigan. Hopefully he can come back from it. Gallagher definitely a loss around the middle today. To be fair Ethan O'Donnell is not there by choice. Many other teams across the country missing players who are in Australia by choice. Good to see the Doherty brother back though. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1746 - 05/10/2026 11:12:52 2696222 Link 0 |

Yes Gallagher was a major loss yesterday, I believe it was the reason we struggled around midfield yesterday for so long. Every ball that was won by a player took several hits before he got the pass off. That was down to glenswilly crowding midfield to there credit, they won most of the breaks the first 50 minutes. That extra big man in Gallagher would definitely have helped. In fairness to E odonnel, he came home every other year for championship and owes the club nothing. Mcgettigans injury is devastating for the young fella, 3-4 time he has done the knee. Hard to see him coming back after this. On another note, murphy is a fine footballer, but he seriously needs to learn how to tackle or else he will end up costing donegal again next season. Simple don't get involved with silly stuff, he has enough experience and should know better. The keeper (Donegal) - Posts: 747 - 05/10/2026 13:11:01 2696260 Link 1 |

Gaoth Dobhair missing a few men with senior county experience - McFadden-Ferry, Carroll, Gillespie and Mulligan. I know most of them haven't bene imvolved for a few years. Be some lift to them if even a couple of them returned though. Micheal Roarty a big loss this year too - he brings serious energy to the middle third. Club level is different to county I know, but it still shows what a difficult job it is for any full back when Murphy plays inside and gets good early ball. I thought Malone was being well shackled early on, but he eventually showed his class. Expect a big year from him in 2027. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 10490 - 05/10/2026 13:47:19 2696272 Link 0 |
