Not for few more weeks.Its not straight West vs North.Cg won today and play Caherlistrane in Q/F proper and Salthill beat Dunmorw today and they play Oranmorre and winners of these games go on to play either MB or Corofin in semis.Alot of football to go yet.

Ahh, but sure Corofin have two parishes - Belclare and Corofin. With that catchment, and predominantly football, there's no excuse v potential clashes v Moycullen and probably Oranmore/Maree down the road. At IC level, Dunmore, Tuam and Ballinasloe provided the main men. Corofin, for all their coaching development, end up with semi-robots, unfortunately not good enough for the top IC table. How is it a shock? That team got to the Féile All-Ireland final two years ago, having comfortablly beaten every team they faced in Galway. They also won the U15 championship. This year they had 6 players on the county minor panel and some of the standout players on the team. They were my favourites before it started and I'd still have them as that. Not sure what you're on about there. Are you saying coaching lads to be able to kick well with both feet from a young age is detrimental? Corofin have been excellent at developing players for years. Their style of play is anything but robotic. Odd comments.

Shock win?? Far from it. That breathnachs team have been beating every1 before them for years. I'd be suprised if the don't go on to win it out. Very stupid format I think. Should be just a straight shoot out between north and west in final. Salthill lost 3 group games but are still in the mix. Makes no sense. They drew with Oranmore and only beat Claregalway by point so those 3 teams are always close at this age.Corofin are strong in north

Certainly not a shock that they won the West board, which is my point. They've been the dominant team at this particular age group coming up. When it has mattered, they've had the better of Oranmore. That's not to say they'll win it. They're still kids and underage can be unpredictable. Corofin have definitely improved since that group was U15. Caherlistrane are strong. Sheild Semi Finals scheduled for same weekend, Dunmore v Tuam Stars and Monivea Abbey v Killannin. Nice to see there is a secondary comp and these teams have a chance to finsh minor with some silverware.

Seen this, but would have to think if an offer came from Galway he would take it, has taken Wicklow as far as he can I think after winning the tailtean cup. The opportunity of getting a job like Galway might not come again

Judging by the numbers they had on the county minor team/ panel this year it's difficult to see it as a shock.
